Learning Games

One of the best ways to learn chess is through playing games. With our new players, we’re focusing on just a few pieces at a time and exploring how they move and all their options. By focusing on just a few pieces, students can concentrate more on learning the pieces, rather than being overloaded with a full set.

Some of the learning games include:

* Farmer vs. the Pigges (King vs. Pawns)

*Queen vs. Knight

*Queen/Rook vs. Bishop

Players not only learn how the pieces move, but strategize and plan out their moves in fun games.
